Over the course of a ten-month school year, CLHS professional teaching staff adhere to the curriculum requirements as set out by Alberta Education in the Program of Studies. CLHS staff identify and assist in developing and implementing programs to meet specific learner needs using the resources available.

Similar to last year, CLHS exceeded the provincial standard of achievement in almost every subject and excels in academic results when compared to local schools. HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS
In Grade 10 and 11 students carry a minimum 40 credit course load. This completes a full time schedule for the two semesters (5 months each), at CLHS. In Grade 12, students can carry a 3/4 course load provided they are in a position to meet all graduation requirements and meet their post-graduation plan requirements. Students needing direction are advised to meet with Academic Counselor, Ms. Lapointe who can assist in program planning. An additional service provided by Ms. Lapointe is that of detemrining possible careers thorugh the use of on-line interest/aptitude programs. Students at any grade can book an appointment with Ms. Lapointe to access this information.
KNOWLEDGE & EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS PROGRAM

INCLUSIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Life Skills program at Cold Lake High School supports students who will achieve a certificate of completion. Our inclusive education model focuses on work experience, social skill development, functional literacy and numeracy as well developing the knowledge, skills and character traits that will help the students tranistion from school to independent living. Cold Lake High School has an active and successful Best Buddies Program where current and former Life Skills students join with staff and student volunteers for planned activities.
